Vegas Packing
What to pack when "Vegas" isn't exactly your aesthetic...

I’ve got packing on the brain, I have a few trips coming up, starting with Las Vegas with my husband next weekend (Fun fact- we met in Las Vegas, even though we both lived in LA at the time). It’s our second time in almost 6 years away from our kids overnight, and we are both really looking forward to not only fun dinners and alone time… but SLEEPING IN… in a bed we don’t have to make! And watching TV in bed while someone brings us room service!! How luxurious! :)
I used to travel to Vegas for work a lot, so I’ve spent a bit of time there, but that was a decade ago and nowadays… comfort is key and I want to look chic while still feeling like myself. So, I’ve been thinking about what to pack. Here’s a few things I’ve come up with so far.
The Leigh pants from Vincent James are THE ultimate pant. I’ve had her wide leg pants for a couple years and I've worn them to death. These are an updated version which fit a bit slimmer and longer (I love the option to tailor them or wear them with small heels). These pants will be my yoga pant (wool is SUCH a good athletic material, temperature regulating and moisture wicking- down with synthetics!), my travel pant, my going out pant, my lounge pant, my “pulled together mom” pant, my pajamas… honestly there’s no scenario I can think of that I couldn’t use the pants for. Magic pants. 100% merino wool.
And for the ultimate chic I would pair them with…
Seriously- how good is this outfit? I plan to wear this set with a pair of fun heels and some statement earrings next weekend. Done and done.
I love a turtleneck, I think they are so chic, so dramatic. This one is cashmere and so soft and breathable.

To balance out the coverage of the turtleneck, I’ll show some leg. Still undecided on footwear with this, but possibly these Moto boots to keep it cool but comfortable, or go all out with these to make it really sexy and “Vegas-y”.
As far as fragrances go… I’m picky. I don’t wear many, but this one is clean, smells beautiful, and the owner is such a lovely woman. I love the travel sizes so I can easily pack and layer my favorites. I always wear them for a night out.
And lastly, a bag. I want to bring a little perfect going out bag. Vegas can be a lot of walking, and a clutch can get annoying to hold, so I want one with the option of a shoulder strap. This one from Abby Alley looks SO perfect! It doesn’t come out until Monday, so I’m not sure I could get it in time for my trip, but wow, looks like one I def need for nights out and about.
